9 - 12 Months
Back to Current Updates
2/8 Liam is on his way to 1 year old! I can't believe how fast it's going -- it feels like yesterday I was holding my 7 lb. newborn wrapped tightly like a little baby burrito. Now he's pushing all the chairs around the kitchen and pointing out the books he wants us to read to him.

Liam had his tube surgery on Saturday and he is already starting to babble more -- he's said Mama a few times now (but don't ask him if he said it, he'll just turn to you and say "dada!") and loves to talk to his toys. The Doctor said he had a lot of thick fluid in his ears -- so I'm sure he's hearing clearer now. His little nose has cleared up, too!

1/26 Another late update -- things have been very hectic in our house! Liam is almost 11 months old and boy, can he get around! We had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed visiting with our families.

Liam has a new cousin! Simon Christopher was born January 18th (just under a month early!). Simon and his mommy and daddy are doing well. Welcome to the family, Little Guy!

Liam is now using his Leapstart walker and his Hippo walker to get around the house. He has yet to stand by himself right now since we think he is still a little hesitate to let go. He is babbling up a storm and loves to talk to his Pooh Bear when he wakes up in the morning. He just loves exploring everything in the house and enjoys spending lots of time in his room where he listens to his music and chases Momma, Dadda, Holly and Sadie around his crib. He likes taking the blocks out of their container and putting them back in. He also likes turning the light on and off on his house and opening and closing the door.

Daycare is fun for Liam where he spends time with his new friends. He gets to play fun games and read books with Miss Kristin and Miss Lyndsay.

Liam will get his ear tubes inserted on February 5th so he can spend less time at the Pediatrician's and on antibiotics. I am very positive and have heard it makes a world of difference for a child who has spent as much time as Liam has with infections. Liam is also going through more teething -- his bottom two molars are in and the top two are making their way through now. One of his incisors is also making an early appearance. It has been very difficult but he is getting through it.

We are looking forward to Liam's first birthday! I can't believe it's been almost a year that he has been in our lives. It has been such a good year! Liam is truly our pride and joy and we love every minute we have with him (yes, even the crabby baby moments).
