6 - 9 Months
Back to Current Updates
12/16 Again, pretty late with the update! Liam is 9 months old and he is constantly on the go! Not only is he crawling at the speed of light, but he has mastered pulling up on every possible surface available. He is cruising so fast that we can hardly keep up with where he is -- he will pull up on one of his toys and then grab onto the fireplace gate, connect to the coffee table, and then it's on to the couch. He still hasn't figured out how to get down so he screams for us to help him when he's ready to start crawling again.

Liam is going to the ENT next week to check on his ears. I think he might have another infection so we are going to the Pediatrician this afternoon before the weekend and all the Christmas festivities start. His molars have broken through the skin so it could be that, but he has had a stuffy nose for over a week and that usually leads to an ear infection.

Liam met Santa for the first time yesterday and he really liked him! He laughed and smiled at him and for the camera. This weekend, we are having a Christmas family gathering -- Liam's first Christmas celebration!

And Liam wanted to say Happy Birthday, Uncle Brian!

11/10 It's been almost a month since I last updated! Again, SO much to tell! Liam is 8 months old! He had an ear infection and cold for quite some time but while getting over those little problems, he has reached a few milestones! Liam had been army crawling for a while, but last night he decided to give regular hand and knee crawling a try! He still likes to drag himself around but has been adding the regular crawl to his abilities. He also started crawling all over Dadda and I and has pulled himself up to a standing position on his toys and once on the coffee table. He also has tried conquering the stairs. It's amazing how fast he has grown.

Liam has a large list of foods he can eat now. We are gearing up for Thanksgiving at Auntie Mary and Uncle Mike's house -- we are introducing potatoes and turkey this week. Liam LOVES avocado and tofu. He drinks from a sippy cup now and has a snack of cheerios and juice in the evening.

We had a wonderful time over the Halloween weekend when everyone came for a party with the kids in costume -- so cute! Millie and Maya stayed for the weekend with Heather, Shane and Ellen. Maya walked for the first time and we got it on video! We were all so excited for her and her parents :)

I am starting a new job at William Sonoma at night and on the weekends. Kayla lives next door and will be watching Liam after school until Patrick gets home. Momma has some adult time and Liam has a new friend to play with! Everyone's a winner!

10/15 Liam has been fighting a small cold and ear infection this week but he is doing much better now. At his Pediatrician's appointment he weighed in at 18 lbs 2 oz.

Liam has been working so hard at crawling and is currently moving around the family room doing an army crawl (arms pulling his body forward). I have a feeling he will be speeding around the house in no time.

We are looking forward to all the Halloween festivities coming up in the next few weeks. Nicholas is having his first pumpkin carving party at his house and we are excited to be joining the fun! We can't wait to see everyone at our Halloween party. It will be a great time with all the babies in their costumes!

10/6 TIME FLIES! Liam is 7 months old! So many things to talk about. We've been so busy!

We met some very nice people while walking the Light the Night walk for Allie Scott. Thank you to everyone who donated, we raised $300 for research and our team raised over $5000! We look forward to making the walk an annual tradition.

We had a wonderful vacation in Vermont on Echo Lake. We stayed in a great cabin with the Reardon family. Liam played nicely with Millie and Heather, Shane and Maya visited on Saturday for the day. We went to Quechee Gorge and enjoyed ice cream. Everything was so relaxing, we were sad to leave. We will definitely visit there again!

We also went apple picking in New Hampshire this past weekend. We had a great time and are enjoying the apples. I have been making baby food all weekend and Liam really seems to enjoy the apple sauce I made.

On Monday, Liam and I met up with Kim and Nicholas at the Topsfield Fair! I love going to the fair :) and I wanted Liam to be a part of that with me. We had a very nice time. Liam saw turkeys and pigs and cows and sheep and goats! It was so much fun to see him so interested in the animals. Maybe we have a future 4-Her!

We received Liam's 6 month photos -- here's a link to the photos.

9/15 It's been a busy few weeks and now I'm finally able to update the site! Liam is 6 months old! He's growing up so fast! He now has his 2 upper front teeth! They are slowly moving down but have cut through finally, thank goodness! It was a pretty painful ordeal for him.

Liam is sitting up like a pro -- he rolls both ways now and is scooting his knees under him and trying to figure out this crawling thing :) He will be moving around the house in no time!

Liam had his well appointment with Mary Ellen last week. He weighs 17 lbs. 6 oz. and is 26 inches long. His head circumference is 44 cm. These are all in the 50th percentile. He's slowed down his growth but will pick up again by the end of his first year.

Liam has also started fruits and veggies! He eats string beans and pears and tomorrow we will start with sweet peas. He likes the pears, not the beans so much. But he tolerates them.

Liam spent his 6 month birthday at his Grandma and Grandpa's in Holyoke. He met his Great-Aunts Mary Ellen and Julia. Mary and Mike had a nice barbeque at their house on Sunday. We had a great weekend.

This weekend, Momma, Dadda and Liam are walking for Leukemia and Lymphoma research. We are walking under the team "Allie's Angels" for a little girl who just recently died this Tuesday. She was such a beautiful girl and she will be greatly missed.
